Mrs Home Maker 2011 Grand Finale

Mrs Homemaker 2011, the pioneering reality show dedicated to married women, had its 7th Edition Grand Finale at the Kamarajar Arangam, recently. Organized by Twilite Creations, the crowning mega show had actress Mrs Devaiyani Rajkumaran, as its Chief Guest. Mrs Home Maker, a brain child of Mrs Sumathi Srinivas, the charismatic CEO of Twilite Creations, is a pioneering reality show dedicated to married women. This year, the show spread its wings to the whole of Tamil Nadu. Auditions were held all across Trichy, Madurai, Tanjore, Coimbatore, Salem and Chennai, and competition for selection into the finals was done through various rounds with creative, cookery, sports, dance, singing and mimicry among other qualifying rounds. The judges for the finale were John Britto, Singer Ujjaini and Television actress and news anchor Fathima Babu. 14 out of the shortlisted 20 contestants, who touched the finals, stunned the audience at the finale with their performances. The individual cultural talent round at the D-Day, had the contestants exhibiting their special skills at Singing, Dancing and Mimicry. Some of the performances were mind-blowing, so much so the auditorium was filled with the audience's Once More's. There was also a group dance performed by all the contestants, for the famous number "Senthamizh Thenmozhial". From the 14 participants, 8 were selected for the next round and were asked the final question by Mrs Deviayani Raajakumaran. The final question was " What do you think, should be the predominant character which our future generation should carry from us, in this fast moving world and why?" Mrs Kavitha Karthik was crowned as the Mrs Home Maker 2011. Varsha from Chennai came the 2nd Runner-up and Subhasini from Coimbatore as the Ist Runner-up. Devaiyani complimented was all praise for the event and for the efforts taken by the finalists. Gifts worth Rs. 7 lakhs were given away by participating sponsors N Gopaldass Jewellery, Adarus Kitchen, Naturals, Shadows home appliances, Aachi Masala. The finale, and the qualifying rounds of Mrs Home Maker will be telecast as a weekly reality show in Jaya TV.
